Background
A beloved local salon ready to grow its digital presence
Bauhaus Salon + Spa is a full-service salon and spa serving the Lake Charles, Louisiana area. Known locally for its skilled stylists, head spa services, and premium product offerings including Kérastase, R+Co, and R+Co Bleu, Bauhaus Salon + Spa had strong word-of-mouth recognition but its online presence was not keeping pace with its reputation.
When Dreamer Consulting began working with Bauhaus Salon + Spa in October 2025, the primary engagement focused on two areas: building out and optimizing their Shopify product catalog to support online purchasing, and providing ongoing website management to improve their overall digital visibility.
"The goal wasn't just to build a product catalog - it was to make sure every product page worked as hard as the team inside the salon does."
The Work
What Dreamer Consulting did
The engagement covered three core areas of work, each designed to build on the other over time.
Shopify product catalog development
Built and organized the full Shopify product catalog from the ground up - including product uploads, SEO-optimized titles, written descriptions, and collection structure. Every product was structured to support online purchasing, in-store pickup, and ongoing additions as inventory grows. The catalog was also set up to be indexed by Google, establishing a foundation for organic product discovery.
Ongoing website management
Provided regular site management to keep the Bauhaus Salon + Spa web presence current, accurate, and functioning. This included content updates, structural improvements, and ensuring service pages were optimized for the searches their customers are actually performing in Southwest Louisiana.
SEO foundation and search visibility
Reviewed and improved on-page SEO across key service pages. Bauhaus Salon + Spa now appears in Google's product snippet results - a direct result of the structured Shopify catalog work - and ranks #1 for its core brand search terms across the Lake Charles market.
Results
The numbers, compared fairly
To measure impact accurately, we compared the same 8-month window year-over-year: October through May, before Dreamer Consulting (2024–2025) versus after (2025–2026).
Channel Breakdown - Before vs. After (Same 8-Month Window)
Shopify Store - shopbhaus.com
The catalog is working - and the data proves it
The Shopify product store at shopbhaus.com tells a separate but equally important story. Google Search Console data for the store covers the period from late January 2026 through May 2026 - roughly 90 days after the catalog was built - and it shows exactly the SEO traction pattern you would expect from well-structured catalog work.
Monthly growth - shopbhaus.com
SEO is a lagging indicator. The catalog was built in October 2025. By April 2026, daily clicks increased 65x. That is the compounding nature of search investment done right.
The 1,008 product snippet impressions are particularly significant. Product snippets are the enhanced Google search results that display product images, pricing, and store name directly in the results page - they require structured, properly tagged product pages to appear. Before Dreamer Consulting built the catalog, this number was zero. Individual product pages including the Kérastase Chroma Absolu Gloss, HiCo Candle Co. products, and R+Co collections are now generating their own organic search traffic independent of the main salon website.
Honest Context
What the data doesn't fully explain yet - and what we're doing about it
Organic search sessions declined year-over-year from 4,912 to 3,833. We're being transparent about this because it matters and because it tells a bigger story about the opportunity ahead.
Search Console data shows that Bauhaus Salon + Spa generated 79,659 impressions in search results during this period - meaning people saw them in Google nearly 80,000 times. But the average click-through rate was only 3.4%. That's not a ranking problem. That's a click-through problem, driven by meta titles and descriptions that aren't compelling enough to earn the click.
79,659 people saw Bauhaus Salon + Spa in Google search results. The opportunity isn't to rank higher - it's to convert the visibility we already have into clicks.
Several high-impression pages are dramatically underperforming on clicks: the careers page (11,355 impressions, 0.03% CTR), the hair services page (11,947 impressions, 0.17% CTR), and the blog (9,273 impressions, 0.01% CTR). Improving the meta descriptions on these pages alone represents the single highest-leverage opportunity for organic growth - and it's the next phase of active work.
The shopbhaus.com data above tells the full catalog story. Daily organic clicks to the Shopify store increased 65x between January and April 2026 - exactly the SEO traction timeline to expect from well-structured catalog work. The investment is already paying off and growing.
What's Next
The roadmap going forward
With the foundation in place, the next phase focuses on converting Bauhaus Salon + Spa's strong search visibility into actual clicks and customers.
Meta title and description optimization across 5 high-impression pages
Careers, hair services, contact, blog, and donation request pages collectively generate over 50,000 impressions with click-through rates under 0.2%. Targeted rewrites are expected to meaningfully improve organic clicks without any ranking changes required.
Blog content strategy to activate 9,273 existing impressions
The blog page is being found in search but generating almost no clicks. Publishing 2–4 targeted posts per month around high-impression, zero-click queries will build topical authority and drive organic traffic over time.
Shopify catalog expansion and product SEO refinement
Continue growing the product catalog and refining product titles and descriptions to capture more product snippet impressions and drive online purchasing behavior.
